Company marks new store opening with $1000 donation to Family Shelter

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 2012--
Rent-A-Center Manager Dwaine Sims and his three-person sales team are
pleased to offer residents of Downers Grover an additional option when
it comes to acquiring ownership of high-quality furniture, appliances,
electronics and computers. “I’m very excited and definitely want the
store to succeed,” said Sims. “I feel that it’s a perfect location to
have a Rent-A-Center store.”
The new Rent-A-Center is located at 75th Street and Lemont
Road, Suite A and B3. Members of the community will welcome
Rent-A-Center to the neighborhood at a grand opening celebration on
Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony,
Rent-A-Center is contributing $1,000 to the Family Shelter Service.
Pamela Rasmussen, the Facilities and CDBG Administrator, expressed her
appreciation for the contribution. “We are extremely grateful to
Rent-A-Center for this generous donation to Family Shelter Service,”
said Rasmussen. “The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS)
recently cut the funding to our Children’s Program, and this gift will
help ensure a safer future for children affected by domestic violence.”

Downers Grove location is open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday
through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
