Rent-A-Center Donates to Learning Lab, Inc.

Rent-A-Center, Inc. (NASDAQ/NGS: RCII), today donated electronics, including 12 laptops and two large-screen TVs to the Learning Lab of Boise. The donation is tied to a philanthropic initiative dubbed "Random Acts of Caring," launched by Rent-A-Center in 2008.
"Our programs' success is built on three key factors: professional educators, caring volunteer tutors and software technology that provides the best in visual, auditory and text-based approaches to subjects," said Ann Heilman, executive director of the Learning Lab. "This incredible donation from Rent-A-Center will allow us to replace aging computers as well as expand our use of web-based educational programs to strengthen and enhance our students' progress."
The Learning Lab serves Boise and the surrounding area by offering computer-assisted learning programs to adults and families with children under the age of six. Through this instruction, the Learning Lab seeks to encourage and promote literacy for all, in hopes that this knowledge will create a stronger, more self-sufficient community.
